Meter readings

Most meters are read remotely by Vaanster using digital technology. In this case, you do not need to read your energy meter yourself. The recorded meter readings will be available for viewing on your personal 'My Vaanster' page after two months.

Submitting meter readings

Sometimes, we may ask you to submit your own meter reading, for example, during a move. We need the 'E1' reading. Click through your meter until you see 'E1' on the display, and then provide us with this reading. This can be done via 'My Vaanster'.

Where is the energy meter located?

The location of the energy meter varies by home. It is usually found next to the heat delivery unit, in the meter cabinet, or near the floor distributor. Sometimes, there are two energy meters: one for space heating and one for hot tap water. The residents' page of your project will indicate which energy meter has been installed in your home.

Measurement units

Heat is typically measured in GJ (Gigajoules), and hot tap water is measured in m³ (cubic meters). We request the meter reading in GJ, which may sometimes require conversion from kWh to GJ. Comfort cooling is not measured as its consumption is free of charge, so this meter reading is not available.
