WKO Sustainable Energy System

On Elisabethpark, on the site of the old Elisabeth House, since 2008 there has been Het Anbarg, an apartment complex for the elderly. Adapted to modern requirements and with an eye for sustainability.

The complex consists of two residential buildings. Part of the flats are intended for senior citizens living independently and the other part consists of care flats for clients of Avoord Zorg en Wonen. Various facilities can be found on the ground floor, such as a teahouse, crèche, physio-fitness, hairdresser, laundry and quiet room. All flats are collectively heated and cooled by a heat pump system.

"Woningstichting Etten-Leur completed apartment complex Het Anbarg in 2004. The complex has a gross floor area of about 15,000 m2. The complex is home to a care institution that rents out the flats to individuals and uses them for its own clients. Since 2016, Vaanster has been responsible for operating the WKO system."

Financially healthy through new wells

After taking over the WKO management, we discovered that the source system was malfunctioning.
Based on thorough research, we recommended drilling new wells. The only way to guarantee long-term comfort for residents and keep the financial exploitation healthy.

Local service party: faster, more personal, better

For the WKO installation in The Anbarg, we are working with a local service party for maintenance. This resulted in an improvement in customer satisfaction: expertise is paramount, but it is extra nice when the technician is quickly on site and shows personal commitment. This is appreciated by residents.

Good well positioning saves money

Drilling new wells, nobody wants that. But in this case we were able to make a virtue of necessity. By positioning the wells further apart, the imbalance in heat and cold demand was better taken into account. After all, in care flats, the demand for heat is generally greater than the demand for cold. The wide distance between the sources ensures that even a large imbalance does not cause any long-term disadvantages, thus avoiding unnecessary gas consumption

Ownership boundary

The ownership boundary indicates which components Vaanster operates, maintains and, if necessary, replaces. The other components are owned by the home owner, who is therefore also responsible for maintenance and possible replacement. For owner-occupied houses, you are the owner of the house yourself. For rented houses, the landlord is the owner of the house.

The image is a schematic representation of the installation in your home. The components in your home may be positioned differently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Malfunction in heat supply

There is a malfunction in the heat supply. This is inconvenient, and you naturally want it resolved as soon as possible.

Who is responsible for the system in my home?

The answer to this question varies depending on the project and is indicated by means of a property boundary. You can look this up by entering the postcode on the homepage. Go to www.vaanster.nl and enter the postcode and house number at the top. You will then be redirected to the webpage corresponding to the entered postcode. There, you will find an image depicting the property boundary of all equipment in the home.

Disturbance in delivery of cold

You suspect a fault in the supply of cold. That is annoying and, of course, you want it resolved as quickly as possible.

Can I adjust my advance payment amount myself?

Yes, you can. In your personal account, you can adjust your advance payment amount under the section "my invoices." However, this adjustment is within a certain range because the advance payment amount must be sufficient to cover the fixed costs.

Malfunction in the hot water supply

It is annoying when hot water does not come out of the tap. It is important to determine:

  • Whether there is reduced hot water or no hot water at all.
  • Whether there is no hot water coming from any faucet (also called tapping point) in the house or whether there is a single faucet from which there is no hot water.
