WKO Sustainable Energy System

The Amazones consists of three stylish residential towers in a park-like setting on the edge of the city centre in 's Hertogenbosch. Each residential tower houses 42 flats spread over 13 floors. The total gross floor area is 13,860 m2. The flats in the residential towers are supplied with heat, cold and tap water heating by Vaanster's completed WKO installation. The flats have been delivered without a gas connection.

The design of the residential towers started in 2007 and the flats were delivered in 2015. Since then, Vaanster has operated the ATES installation.

The architect, Dok architects, won the BAI (Bosch Architectuur Initiatief) election for 'Best Building' with the Amazons in 2015.

Want to know more about one of the sustainable energy systems for your project? We would be happy to get in touch with you to discuss it together.

Ownership boundary

The ownership boundary indicates which components Vaanster operates, maintains and, if necessary, replaces. The other components are owned by the home owner, who is therefore also responsible for maintenance and possible replacement. For owner-occupied houses, you are the owner of the house yourself. For rented houses, the landlord is the owner of the house.

The image is a schematic representation of the installation in your home. The components in your home may be positioned differently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Malfunction in heat delivery

There is a failure in the heat supply. This is annoying and you want it solved as quickly as possible.

Who is responsible for the system in my home?

The answer to this question varies from project to project and is indicated by an ownership boundary. You can look this up by typing in the zip code on the home page.

Disturbance in delivery of cold

You suspect a fault in the supply of cold. That is annoying and, of course, you want it resolved as quickly as possible.

Can I adjust my advance payment amount myself?

Yes, you can. In your personal account under the heading "my invoices" you can adjust your advance amount. This is within a certain margin, because the advance payment amount must be sufficient to cover the fixed costs.

Malfunction in the hot water supply

It is annoying when hot water does not come out of the tap. It is important to determine:

  • Whether there is reduced hot water or no hot water at all.
  • Whether there is no hot water coming from any faucet (also called tapping point) in the house or whether there is a single faucet from which there is no hot water.
