WKO Sustainable Energy System

Athens, Chamonix, Rome, London, Helsinki, Grenoble & Barcelona: seven Olympic cities. Olympiade's seven sustainable residential buildings in Municipality of Amstelveen will have the names of these cities. It is a reference to the sporting environment. Olympiade will be built adjacent to a sports park and there is plenty of room for sports in the nearby nature reserves. Construction of Olympiade started in 2021.

Vaanster is developing the sustainable WKO installation, which will supply heat, cold and tap water heating to all 552 flats. Of these, 194 will be for sale; the remaining flats will be for social rent and free-sector rent. Solar panels will be installed and operated on the roofs of all seven residential buildings. All homes will be sustainably heated and cooled using an underfloor heating system. Whether it is a generous penthouse or a compact two-bedroom flat, living comfort will be high in all homes.

Construction of Olympiade started in Q2 2021. Expected completion of the flats is mid-2023.

Would you like to know more about one of the sustainable energy systems for your project? We would be happy to get in touch with you to discuss it together.

Property boundary

The ownership boundary indicates which parts Vaanster operates, maintains and, if necessary, replaces. The other components are owned by the homeowner, who is therefore also responsible for maintenance and possible replacement. For owner-occupied houses, you are the owner of the house yourself. For rented houses, the landlord is the owner of the house.

The image is a schematic representation of the installation in your home. The components in your home may be positioned differently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Malfunction in heat delivery

There is a failure in the heat supply. This is annoying and you want it solved as quickly as possible.

Who is responsible for the system in my home?

The answer to this question varies from project to project and is indicated by an ownership boundary. You can look this up by typing in the zip code on the home page.

Disturbance in delivery of cold

You suspect a fault in the supply of cold. That is annoying and, of course, you want it resolved as quickly as possible.

Can I adjust my advance payment amount myself?

Yes, you can. In your personal account under the heading "my invoices" you can adjust your advance amount. This is within a certain margin, because the advance payment amount must be sufficient to cover the fixed costs.

Malfunction in the hot water supply

It is annoying when hot water does not come out of the tap. It is important to determine:

  • Whether there is reduced hot water or no hot water at all.
  • Whether there is no hot water coming from any faucet (also called tapping point) in the house or whether there is a single faucet from which there is no hot water.
